Mr Ashok Gunjal He is the senior sports teacher started his career at Vikhe Patil Memorial School in the year 1991 He spearheads the overall activities held annually and has been indispensible part in coaching many students to excel in various sports to become National and State level players. Under his able guidance many students have received prestigious awards including the Chatrapati Award .To name a few Harshal Mundphan ,a recipient of the Chatrapati Award , Soham Sandbhor, Divya Gugle, Kshitija Shinte are some students who are national players to have won gold medals. Currently teaching skating , under his guidance Sakshi Kothawale won two gold medals in the CBSE Nationals held in Delhi in November 2011 .She has also received an award for being the fastest skater in the junior most category.
Mr Ravi Sarkar started his career as a sports teacher in the year 2001 coaching students for football.Under his able guidance the VPMS football team won many events held at various levels .In the year 2009 the VPMS under 16 Boys football team won the title of PSAA Football Championship.Many students today are professional players of various clubs in Pune . Many prestigious football events held for CBSE championship have reached quarter finals and semi finals . In the football championship organised by BLACK BURN ROVERS AND VENKEYS the under 17 football team won a cash prize of Rs 5000 and also did us proud by winning the Abhijit Kadam Football Championship against J.N. Petit. Currently Mr Sarkar has obtained a Ph.D in Physical Education in which he has worked in the development of norms for selection of a football team.
Ms Ashwini Shinde has been a sports teacher at VPMS for 5 years and has been coaching students for volleyball. She has also been instrumental in co-ordinating various school sports activities as well as inter-school activities. Many students under her able guidance have taken part in events held at the Z.P level
Mr Santosh Sapkal is currently teaching basic gymnastics to classes one to nine and he has trained many of our students to excel in Rope Mallakhamb . Sushmita Hatte took part in the Rope mallakhamb at the National level championship in the year 2003. In the year 2009 Priyal Patki did uds proud by representing VPMS at the State level in the under 14 catogory.Apart fom this he has been Fitness trainer for Ujjwala Raina and Yash Pandit who are our National swimmers and has been coaching football teams to participate in events at various levels.
Mr Manohar Shinde joined VPMS as a sport s teacher this year is specialised in the teaching of Basketball, Athletics,and hockey . He has been coaching our students under various for the Basketball tournaments held at the ZP level. In the CBSE West Zone Championship held at Panchgani this year the under 14 girls team excelled the event by reaching the pre- quarter finals. Shaan Khatri a student from class 9 took part in the West Zone Athletics Championship held at Gujarat in the month of October this year.
Mr Ashish Bhavekar is a sports teacher teaching Taekwondo an d Speedball and has been instrumental in coaching young students the modern tactics of self –defence . Apart from this he is currently coaching a team for the Taekwondo Nationals to be held at Kolkota from 27th December 2011. Darshana Kothawale participated in the International Taekwondo championship held in May 2011.
Mr Makrand Warkhedkar and Mr Prasad Panchpor are our Roll ball and Roller Hockey coaches and are a part of this institution from the year 2011 Many tournaments have been organised in the city .with the Roller Hockey Girls Team to reach the State levels
Mrs Sandhya Kotbagi is coach for swimming and has been a part our since 14 years teaching swimming to the students of std 4 under her able guidance Anoushka Mujumdar a std X student is preparing herself for the Life Saving championship to be held at the International level.
