Topic: Best Out of Waste
“Creativity is inventing, experimenting, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes and having fun”.
Keeping this aim in mind the topic for November ‘Greet and Meet’ session was ‘Best Out of Waste’ for the students of Std III.
The objective of the activity was to create love for environment by making best out of waste with help of recyclable things. Students used bangles, plastic bottles, coconut shells, newspapers, matchstick boxes, shoe boxes etc. All these things which are considered as waste in our day to day lives were used in a constructive manner and variety of artistic things were made from them like, pen stand, wall hanging with bangles, piggy banks, toys out of shoe boxes, paper flowers and board games.
The activity displayed creativity of the little ones and developed a sense of love for the environment. It also helped them to learn about conservation and three R’s (recycle, reduce, reuse).
