The Kalam Library Project is one of the unfulfilled dreams of Dr. A.P.J. Kalam which is based on his philosophy that every youth of the nation should have access to library as a matter of right. It is a flagship initiative that aims to ignite the young minds of India with the power of knowledge.
In association with Kalam Library, Dr. Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune has initiated the “Happy Reading” program which aims at developing the reading habits among the children of the supporting staff working in our school.
The Inaugural ceremony of the reading programme “Abhinav Vachan Katta” under the project was held on 22nd September 2018 at the hands of our Principal Ms. Mrinalini Bhosale. Students from Kilbil School visited our library for the reading session followed by a puppet show. Students then read books of their choice and enjoyed the session.
