“Freedom is not given- it is taken”, was said by one of the most prominent freedom fighters of India- Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. His unparalleled struggle for the motherland and valor has always inspired millions of patriots.
This year marks the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji, which is celebrated as ‘Parakram Divas’ in India.
On this occasion, ‘the Day of Courage’, a special assembly was presented by the students of class XI-B.
The program began with an enthusiastic introduction of the day and a heart-warming prayer, which was truly inspiring. This was followed by a thought and significance of the day, where in the ideologies and dauntless qualities of Netaji were emphasized and elaborated. The students also presented facts about Netaji- his devotion to the country, its people, social services and reforms. His courageous and ambitious life journey was narrated which was inspiring beyond any question.
Art, as they say, is a form of expression and communication. The students of class XI-B showcased their talents through painting, poetry and acting. A beautiful painting of Netaji and the tricolor amazed the audience.
The famous poem written by Netaji, ‘Khooni Hastakshar,’ where he motivated millions of Indians to fight for their freedom, was recited with great enthusiasm and zeal.
A speech on the brave freedom fighter, who taught our nation to be disciplined and selfless, was also delivered which unquestionably left the audience in awe. The students successfully portrayed the pride we, as Indians hold on this auspicious day.
The program was concluded by recitation of some famous and motivational quotes by Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. The students of class XI-B have truly and profoundly made an attempt at inspiring others and portraying their patriotism through creative means. We are grateful to our principal, Mrinalini ma’am for providing us with this opportunity.
