Month end activity Of Hand Prints was conducted on 25-8-2015.Children made a peacock with palm printing and its importance of it being the National bird of India was explained to them.
Their palm was painted with peacock blue colour which represents the colour of peacock.
Children drew grass and raindrop to complete the picture. Children enjoyed the activity as it was a different experience for them to paint their own palm and to create an impression of a peacock from it. This activity helped them to enhance their fine motor skills and eye – hand co-ordination.
Monsoon Magic Origami: Paper folding activity was conducted by the Sr KG Teachers. Children, to have a feel of season and to develop paper folding skills paper boats and paper fishes were made. Children created their boats and fishes as per teacher’s instructions. They pasted the same to give real feeling of sailing and fishes swimming. The activity was displayed in the class.
Plantation: Yet another fascinating activity was conducted in the month of August by Sr KG children. Children had hands on experience in sowing of seeds and mixing it to the soil. They watered their plant and eagerly awaited for their plant to grow and turn into little sapling. They are observing the growth each day while they are in the class.
Fancy Dress Competition
The month end activity for the students of Std I for the month of August was a Fancy Dress Competition. It was held on 27th August 2015 in the Multipurpose Hall in the Junior Block. The theme for this activity was Mythological Characters. The students came forward displaying their vibrant costumes and spoke a few words about the character they were dressed as. The judges for the competition were Mrs. Rizwana Sheikh and Mrs. Prachi Gondi. The students enjoyed this activity. The winners of this competition are as follows. 1st Prize – Vyom Kusurkar 2nd Prize – Ram Sabhnani 3rd Prize – Vihaan Ghalsasi and Shiv Patankar Consolation Prize – Akshay Borgaonkar, Amogh Damle, Aahana Kale, Nidhi Rach
Fancy Dress Competition
Inter Class Fancy dress Competition Std. III Date:28.08.15
For the celebration of the silver jubilee this year, each subject has been given a specific month to perform something on. August month has been titled as Marathi month. On this occasion students of STD 3 dressed up as freedom fighters for the fancy dress competition. Freedom fighters like Savitri Bai Phule, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru etc. were showcased by the students very creatively. Each student voiced a famous dialogue of the freedom fighter they dressed up like. Many students very innovatively also designed their own costumes. The programme was itself presented by the students. The judges included Mrs Gadekar and Rizwana ma’am. Mrs Gadekar later gave an uplifting speech to the students. Then a well-tuned song was sung by her. Mrs Swapna Kulkarni had arranged the programme very skilfully. Under Mrs Sheetal’s guidance it was enjoyed by all.
