Field Trip- Aga Khan Palace, Pune
The students of Std V went for a field trip to Aga Khan Palace on 28th January, 2020.
Aga Khan Palace is a majestic building. Std V children visited Aga Khan Place as a field trip. The objective behind this activity was to improve the educational skills and also to relate it to the lesson done in history about freedom fighter. Historical places always bring a great experience of learning new things. Such a visit is very helpful for children which actually help them in learning beyond the textbook. It was built by Sultan Muhammed Shah Aga Khan III. The palace is closely linked to the Indian freedom movement as it served as a prison for Mahatma Gandhi, his wife Kasturba Gandhi, his secretary Mahadev Desai and Sarojini Naidu. It is also the place where Kasturba Gandhi and Mahadev Desai died. In 2003, Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) declared the place as a monument of national importance.
Over all it enhanced the young learner’s knowledge about historical places and created awareness about Indian Freedom Struggle.
