Founder’s Day 2016


This year on 17th August we celebrated as the 116th Founder’s Day. Padmashree Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil’s birthday has been declared as the “ Shetkari Din” by the government of Maharashtra after considering his contribution to the upliftment of farmers. Students of Std 7th and 8th students sang group song titled Laksya . Students of Std 8th and 10th had a small skit performed based on the life of Padmashree. Speech related to Vitthalrao’s life was read by Atharva Prabhu of Std XI. A graceful kathak performance , Shiv Vandana was put up by Std 7th student Arushi In the junior block students of Std I, II and III put up a small play related to life events of Padmashree Dr. Vitthalrao Patil.

The highlight of the day was the inauguration of the newly introduced ” Health Policy “ by Joint Secretary and Director of Schools Mrs. Nandini Charles.

Other activities planned were Std 1st to Std 7th had the Camlin Drawing Contest . Std 8 had their slogan writing competition after viewing the short documentary on the Founder’s life. Std 9th, 10th and 11th had a Katta discussion on the topic “ Freedom of Speech- Pros and Cons and its practicality. Coconut sweets were distributed to all the students as part of celebration of Founders birthday. Students left early on that day.

The Founder’s Day was celebrated on Tuesday 16th August 2016. Children participated in a Camlin drawing competition on the topic ‘My TOYS’. They drew their imagination of their toys on paper with vibrant colours. All children enjoyed talking about their favorite toys and drawing/colouring the same

Rakhi Celebration

The festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated with great fervour and gaiety. Brothers and sisters look forward to the occasion with immense enthusiasm. To add charm to the occasion, gifts are exchanged between brothers and sisters as a token of love and affection.. Raksha Bandhan was celebrated in the school where the teachers tied the Rakhi’s to the students, which were made by them and they also had coconut barfi.
