Alumni Meet 2023
‘Making life meaningful’ is the motto of VPMS. ‘Making eventssuccessful’ is yet another phrase fits best in terms of VPMS’s
identity.
VPMS saw the auditorium full of cheerful faces being nostalgic, interacting with their batchmates and teachers whom they met after ages. The occasion was the VPMS alumni meet 2023, organized by the school on 7 th January. The event aimed at inviting ex -students to school and reminiscing about the time they spent here. The meet was responded overwhelmingly by the ex-students as there were close to 520 students in attendance for this event. Teachers who served in the school for a longer duration were also invited along with some of the existing teachers. The opening of the event was quite touching and brought all students back to school in the true sense when the assembly was conducted on the school ground. To everyone’s surprise, they sang the school prayer without any prompting.
The highlight of the event was the interhouse football and basketball matches played on the lush green ground. The rolling trophy was luring them to give their best to bag the trophy. It was indeed a sight to behold that the engineers, CAs, doctors, businessmen and IT professionals sweating on the school ground after many years with the same undying spirit and passion and, keeping their loyalty alive towards their
houses.
The second segment of the alumni meet was a formal function. It began at 6.30 in the evening. Ex-students from each batch spoke and transported their batchmates into the past unfolding their memory box. The experiences shared by them were received with a lot of cheer and clapping.
After having students spoken, ex-teachers spoke riding themselves on an emotional plane. A lot of fond memories were shared by them. The Chairman, Dr, Ashok Patil, Dr. Vikhe Patil foundation, a joint secretary and director schools’ program, Nandidni Vikhe Patil, the secretary, Dr. Manoj Narwade and the school principal, Miss Mrinalini addressed the gathering expressing their happiness over a good response of the students to the event. “ It gives me a sense of achievement and my heart is filled with pride when I see so many students excelling in various fields and keeping the flag of VPMS fluttering high” said the Chairman during his speech. The association was formed with keeping in mind all the legalities and students were encouraged to avail of the membership of the association. Finally, the PPT presentation made by school was shown to the students. Overall, it was gratifying to see a broad smile on the faces of ex-students’.
