CBSE Regional Science Exhibition 2022-23

Science is inexplicably linked with our lives and helps us to understand the world around us better. It, thus, becomes imperative to encourage our students to think, learn, solve problems and make informed decisions. The science exhibition aims to provide a platform for students to
demonstrate such learnings that encourage the construction of knowledge by connecting new ideas to existing concepts, thus, it becomes imperative to encourage our students to metamorphose into challenge takers and go-getters. The theme for the Science Exhibition 2022-
23 was ‘ Technology And  Toys’ under which students could opt for various sub-categories such as eco-friendly materials, health and cleanliness, transport and innovation, environmental concerns, historical development with current innovation and mathematics for us.
The regional science exhibition was held on the 6th and 7th of December 2022. There were two teams which participated, Junior team : Aarav Sharma, class VII with mentor Ms.Tresa Antony and Senior team: Nikunj Kasat and Aditi Bachhavfrom class IX with mentor Mrs.Jyoti Shelke. On the 6th of December, the day began with the inauguration of the exhibition by the chief guest Dr.Chetan Malhotra, followed by a prayer dance. After this, the panel of judges were introduced and felicitated. Following this, general rules for the exhibition were explained. The judgment began at 11 am and went upto 4.30 pm, which consisted of two rounds.

On the 7th of December, the third round of judging of the exhibits took place. School students kept visiting the exhibition throughout the day. Some of the exhibits displayed were food polymer edible water balls, piezo- electricity, Alabin waste segregator, crash detector,
hydroponic farming, accident messenger, stress detector, etc. The third round of judgement resumed on this day. At 3.30 pm, the concluding ceremony began wherein the judges shared their thoughts on the various exhibits after which they declared the winners from each sub- topic
for both the junior and senior category. Nikunj Kasat and Aditi Bachhav from our school (senior team) qualified for the national level exhibition. Their topic was ‘Science In Origami’. It was a great learning experience for mentors and students alike.
