A special assembly for the celebration on the auspicious occasion of Onam – the harvest festival of Kerala, was held on Monday, 28th of August 2023 at Basketball Court. Students conducting the assembly brightened the campus with their colourful ethnic wear in the
traditional attire of Kerala.
Onam, an ancient festival which is one of the rarest festivals which is celebrated by a complete State, irrespective of religion, caste and creed. The beauty of the festival lies in its secular fabric. People of all religions, castes and communities celebrate the festival with equal joy and verve. Onam also helps to create an atmosphere of peace and brotherhood.
A well -planned assembly that had a blend of culture, tradition and history made everyone mesmerised. Thought for the day, speeches, song dedicated to Kerala boat race festival and loads of information saw a crisp assembly session.
Amidst cheers of happiness and excitement, children learnt the importance of this very special day and imbibed in them pride, cultural oneness and a sense of belonging that we are one big family.
