Field Trip for class I to Mendhi Farms, Gokhale Nagar, Pune – 16

Keeping this in mind, a field trip to ‘Mendhi Farms’ was planned for the students of Std 1 on Thursday, 17 th August 2023.
Mendhi Farms located in Gokhale Nagar Pune is a place where raw wool is used to make final products like carpets, pillows, rugs etc.
Students were able to correlate the experience with the topic “Clothes we wear” learnt in EVS.
The students were guided by a host who explained in detail the different uses of machines that are used to make the product and students were astonished to see the machines, charkha and the products.
The field trip not only created excitement amongst the young minds but it also developed the urge for learning in students. It was indeed an enjoyable learning experience for all the students.
