Special Assembly in Memory of Late Smt Sindhutai Eknathrao Vikhe Patil

Smt Sindhutai Vikhe Patil, a personality who assisted the rural women to cope up with life challenges in rural areas, through the Priyadarshini Grameen Mahila Mandal. She provided remarkable constructive work for the upliftment of women and provided opportunities for them to progress. She was honoured with Maharashtra Government's Punyashlok Ahilya Devi Holkar Award, Matoshree Ramabai Ambedkar Adarsh Mahila Award, Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Award and many more other esteemed titles. She left for her heavenly abode on 18 th August 2019 at the age of 85.
Today, on Friday 18 th August 2023, a special assembly was organized in the memory of Smt Sindhutai Vikhe Patil. The students of I B participated in the special assembly. The assembly started with a prayer which was followed by the thought for the day, news headlines and significance of the day. One minute silence was observed to grant peace to the departed soul. This was followed by a message given by a student of Std I B who was dressed up as Sindhutai. The assembly concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
Smt Sindhutai Vikhe Patil was an exemplar of hard work and dedication, who will always have an irreplaceable and a special place in our hearts. May her legacy will continue to inspire millions of women in rural India!
