Report of Hindi Diwas

“Hindi is the simplest source of expression of our nation” – Sumitranandan Pant

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on September 14 th to pay tribute to the official language of India. Hindi was adopted as the official language of the Constitution Assembly on September 14,1949. The students of Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Pune celebrated Hindi Diwas in the school to mark the importance of the country’s most widely spoken language. Students across grades 1 to 8 participated in the programme.

The programme started with the thought for the day and news in Hindi followed by a talk on the importance of the Hindi language. Student also recited the poems of famous poets in Hindi Literature and recited some ‘Ayurvedic Dohe’ to enlighten the audience on home remedies and their benefits. Students and teachers encouraged everyone in the school to use Hindi as the medium of conversation for the day.

Hindi Diwas was wholeheartedly celebrated by one and all.
