REPORT- Independence Day Celebration

Activities – Special Assembly and activities based on Independence day.

Grade – 1 to 3

Independence Day is a day to pay tribute and remember all the freedom fighters who fought for the Independence of our country. Every year 15 th of August is celebrated as the Independence Day, which commemorates the country’s independence from colonial British domination. The nation celebrates this day in honour of the freedom warriors who laid their lives for the independence of our country. By teaching our kids about the importance of this day, we can help them foster a sense of pride about our country. Therefore, with an objective to create an awareness about our great leaders and their struggles and to to reflect on the progress made by India as a nation over the past several years, the Independence day was celebrated on the 14 th of August 2023 for the students of Grade 1 to 3.

There was a special assembly conducted by the students of Std- 3B in the Multipurpose hall. The special assembly comprised of: The thought for the day, news headlines and amazing facts based on the Independence day. There was a melodious group song “the three colours…” and a mesmerizing dance performance on the song “Vande Mataram….” Both the performances were enjoyed by all.

Later there were activities which were conducted class wise. The activities were as follows:

Std 1 – Flag making, Std 2 – The tricolor badge making, Std 3 – Bookmark making
These activities were conducted by the class teachers in their respective classes. Every class enjoyed the activities and participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. There was a feeling of pride and patriotism in everyone’s heart.
