Report of Club Activity
Rhythmic Moves
January 2023

Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance. -OPRAH WINFREY

Keeping the above quote in mind the students of “Rhythmic Moves Club” participated enthusiastically in their 4 th club activity. Dance is quintessential to keep us human, to help us keep moving forward, to shed our inhibitions and most importantly, be ourselves!

The activity was conducted on 28 th January at the Multipurpose Hall after the assembly and class attendance. Club attendance was recorded by the teachers in-charge of the groups. The activity started with a warm-up session followed by revising the dance moves taught in the previous session. To begin with, our enthusiastic dance instructor, Mr.Sunil Shewadkar demonstrated a few new moves on Hand Tutting and the Moon Walk. The students actively participated and were very excited to learn the new form. Sunil Sir gave personal attention to each child’s movement and posture. The teachers too joined the activity for a while and monitored the students’ movements. The students were then sent for a short break to take their refreshments and relax.

Post break, they were split in two groups and had to choreograph steps for the song that they chose. The respective teachers went along with their respective groups to the allotted places. Sunil Sir helped the students understand how they needed to set up the steps. The students
choreographed the steps on their own, learned different dance steps and practised them to hone their dancing skills. The session concluded with this and the students were very excited to try their hand at choreography.
