Community helpers make life better for the people in the community, keep the community healthy and safe, and help it function more efficiently.
When children interact with community helpers, they communicate and socialize.
They learn new vocabulary, ask and answer questions, and gain knowledge about the world around them.
The students spoke a few lines about their Favorite Community helpers with props, models, and flashcards.
This activity helped them to gain confidence and to develop empathy and respect towards the community helpers.
