Report – Marathi Bhasha Diwas Assembly 14/2/2024

Every year Marathi Bhasha Diwas is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of renowned poet, Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar, popularly known as ‘Kusumagraj’. He was born on February 27, 1912. Marathi being the official language of the state of
Maharashtra, the main focus of this celebration is to honour the rich history and literature associated with it.

Marathi Bhasha Diwas was celebrated with great fervour in Vikhe Patil Memorial School under the guidance of Principal Mrinalini Ma’am. The objective of the celebration was to make children aware of the importance of the Marathi language and to unfold its beauty.

The programme began with a Marathi Prayer ‘Heech Aamuchi Prarthana’. It was followed by the introduction, thought for the day, dance, elocution and natyawachan. The narration was indeed impactful. The colourful attire of the students added flavour to the performances.

Overall, the program was very well received by all. Every bit of moment enjoyed by all.
